At just 29 and 26 years of age respectively, Maulin and
Marshnil Patel prove franchising is a viable investment option for
people of all ages.
As franchisees of the Stepz Fitness club in the Brisbane suburb of
Upper Mount Gravatt, the Patel’s oversee all aspects of the gym,
ensuring it runs smoothly day in, day out.
WHY STEPZ?
The pair was impressed by the Stepz business model, which they believe is both successful and well-structured.
“We had been looking for a business that we can work on rather than in, allowing us to continue with our jobs,” they explain.
“After doing some research and comparing it with other similar business
models, we found the Stepz business model more attractive and
affordable for members and the owners as well.”
FINANCIALS
The Patel's were able to invest in the brand by taking a loan out with
the bank, a process they believe was made easier because Stepz is a
well-respected franchise.
“Since Stepz Fitness is a reputed franchise business with a number of
successful clubs already running in Queensland and New South Wales, we
had no problems in arranging finance with a major bank,” they say.
SUPPORT
The degree of training and support a franchisor provides can impact on
the success of a franchisee's business, and it seems Maulin and Marshnil
have reaped the benefits of the Stepz program.
“Stepz has provided us with a significant level of support and
assistance in understanding the business in more detail, and we now feel
more confident running our own club,” they say.
Stepz’s support has also enabled them to enjoy a healthy work/life
balance. “We’ve found it quite easy thanks to the extremely supportive
team from Stepz.”
WORKING TOGETHER TO BETTER THE BUSINESS
Maulin and Marshnil enjoy working on the business together, and believe it enriches their relationship.
“We believe it’s the best opportunity for us to understand each other
even more and bring out the best in each other,” explains the pair.
They enjoy working together so much, there are plans to open a second club in the near future.
This article just shows how viable an option franchising is for all ages. These two are only 29 and 26 and they already own/run their business, which is a goal for a lot of young entrepreneurs. Franchising grants young people seeking to run their own business this possibility. One of the good things about franchising also is the fact that some of the franchisors grant financial help. This helps immensely for the young people coming out of college in case they don't have the financial stability to be able to start on their own.
