  1. The founder of Zen Massage was smart in getting out when he could. He created a smart business model that today other people are following because of him. He might of not been the best mentor for them, maybe because of time or whatever the case but he knew he couldn't handle the pressure it took to be the franchisor. His dedication to his business model is very important and even though he had to sell the franchise system he still has the same dedication to it that he once had when he ran it. Now that he is just focusing on one location he is targeting a higher revenue than before, a great example of the success of the business.

  2. I feel like what the owner did was a really good idea of getting out before things got out of hand. There will be tension between the franchisees and the franchisors every once in while, but for the overall amount it should be a good relationship between the two. The problem here was that the franchisor didn't really seem to impose the marketing schemes he had in place onto the franchisees, which inevitably made the franchisees think the whole process and business plan was a waste of money. Even though the franchising didn't work out properly, I personally believe that the business plan behind the company is brilliant and could possibly bring in a lot of consumers.
